Walking in God's Calling and Purpose

[You are] to become a new person. That new person is made to be like God— made to be truly good and holy. EPHESIANS 4:24 NCV

When you come to believe in Jesus, you are called to walk in God’s calling and purpose. This means living a life that is aligned with His will and His ways. But how can you do that? The Bible tells us that as a new creation in Christ, you must rely on the Holy Spirit to cultivate a healthy spiritual life.

Our spiritual life is tied to our relationship with God. Without Him, we cannot be spiritual or righteous. We must come to the Father through Jesus, and only then can we be called children of God.

God has laid out standards for us in His Word, and it is only through the strength given to us by the Holy Spirit that we can meet them. We have all fallen short and will continue to fail, but we remember that through the blood of Jesus, we are called righteous through our faith. We can never be good enough to merit salvation on our own.

As we seek God through reading His Word, spending time in prayer, and communing with the Holy Spirit, we will strengthen our inner man and become the new creation we are meant to be. We must draw near to Him and confess our sins, receiving the free forgiveness offered in Jesus.

Dwell on the new creation you have become in Christ and thank Him for it. Stand on the promise of His Word and ask the Holy Spirit to help you and strengthen you. Ask for the self-control to nourish your spirit and turn away from temptation.

As you make time for Jesus, read your Bible and pray. And as you spend time in God’s presence, you will have the great joy of watching Him transform your life. Trust in His plans for you – they are better than you could ever imagine!

Prayer:

Lord, I praise You, for You are a holy and righteous God. I worship You, for Your ways are just and true. I adore You, Holy Spirit, for manifesting God’s grace and judgment upon my life. I bless Your holy name! Amen.
