The Shepherd's Love

In the Bible, Jesus called Himself “the Good Shepherd”: one willing to do anything for the sake of His “sheep.” And He was—He did. He is. When danger comes, Jesus doesn’t run off and leave us to our own defenses. No, He does everything in His power to protect us. He cares for us so tenderly, so lovingly. He leads us so gently and patiently. When we get lost or wander off, He comes after us. He seeks and saves us. When we struggle or stumble, He helps us. When life wounds us, He heals us. He restores our souls. What a joy to belong to such a Good Shepherd, to be His flock, the sheep of His pasture!

Know this: the Eternal One Himself is the True God. He is the One who made us; we have not made ourselves; we are His people, like sheep grazing in His fields. Psalm 100:3 VOICE

He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in His arms, holding them close to His heart. Isaiah 40:11 NLT

He is our God and we are His people, the flock of His pasture, His sheep protected and nurtured by His hand. Psalm 95:7 VOICE

The Good Shepherd lays down His [own] life for the sheep. John 10:11 AMP

Good Shepherd, help me to be a good sheep! Help me to live in Your love, listen for Your voice, and follow where You lead.
