The Beauty of Character: Foundations

Exult in his holy name;
rejoice, you who worship the LORD.
Search for the LORD and for his strength;
continually seek him. Remember the wonders
he has performed, his miracles,
and the rulings he has given.
Psalm 105:3-5 NLT

Reflect on this statement, inspired by today’s Scripture, and let it guide you into prayer:

I pray that the spiritual foundations established in their hearts when they are young will help them as they grow to build strong lives of faith and obedience, hope and trust, righteousness and freedom, love and compassion.

Prayer

Lord, as my children grow, I ask that they will never outgrow their pursuit of Your will, their desire for Your ways, their hunger for Your Word, their dependency on Your strength, and their need for Your grace. May the spiritual foundations established in their hearts when

they are young help them as they grow to build strong lives of faith and obedience, hope and trust, righteousness and freedom, love and compassion.

May they remember everything You do for them, everything You have provided for them, everything You have taught them, and everything You have done to bless them.

Lord, bless them with good memories, keen understanding, sweet remembrances, sound minds, and practical understanding. May we all cherish, with full hearts, all Christ has done for us-for the blood He shed, the forgiveness He extended, the salvation He provided, and the love He has freely given.

Jesus, help us to cherish all You have done for us.
