Set Apart

The Bible sometimes uses the words “sanctified” and “holy” to mean “set apart,” chosen by God for a special purpose. And that’s exactly what you are! You may not always feel all that “holy” or special, but you are. God sent Jesus to make it so. He wanted you to know: you have been loved by God, chosen by God to belong to Him. You are “His people”—His family. He wants you to know Him and love Him the way He knows and loves you ... and to live in a way that reflects His love, in a way that invites others to come to know and love Him too.
The Lord has chosen everyone who is faithful to be His very own. Psalm 4:3 CEV
You were washed [by the atoning sacrifice of Christ], you were sanctified [set apart for God, and made holy], you were justified [declared free of guilt] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God [the source of the believer’s new life and changed behavior]. I Corinthians 6:11 AMP
For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time. Hebrews 10:10 NLT
God loves you and has chosen you as His own special people. Colossians 3:12 CEV
God, thank You for choosing me, for setting me apart, for making me whole and holy in You. Help me to shine with Your love and Your light, bringing glory and honor to You.
