No Greater Love

When someone says they love you, you can tell over time whether or not they are sincere by observing their actions. If his or her gestures don’t reflect love, the words are empty and have no significance. But when they go out of their way time after time, you can rest assured they are serious. That’s why it’s easy to trust and believe God when He says He loves you – His actions day after day prove His love to be the greatest and most genuine. He not only sent His Son, Jesus, to be your personal Savior, He sacrificed Him on a cross for you. He gave His life… for you. There is no greater form of love than to give one’s life on behalf of another. Praise Him today, give thanks for what He has done, and be glad.

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (John 10:11 NIV)

Grace was given to us through Christ Jesus before time began, but it is now shown to us by the coming of our Savior Christ Jesus. He destroyed death, and through the Good News He showed us the way to have life that cannot be destroyed. (II Timothy 1:9-10 NCV)

I have trusted in Your faithful love; my heart will rejoice in Your deliverance. I will sing to the Lord because He has treated me generously. (Psalm 13:5-6 HCSB)

For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 HCSB)

Father, words cannot express my gratitude for my very salvation. Thanks be to Jesus’ sacrifice, so I can spend eternity with You. There is no greater love I’ve ever known. Amen.
