Hold Onto His Promises

Following Jesus and surrendering your life to Him isn’t always going to be easy. In fact, a lot of days it will be a lot harder than you ever thought it would be. There will be a lot of bumpy roads that you will travel on, a lot of twists and curves that you weren’t anticipating. A lot of unknowns, a lot of valleys, a lot of mountains to climb. Faith in those moments isn’t always easy, and you may have periods of time where you doubt. But God has never broken any of His promises. So when He says He will be your strength, He means it. When He says He will walk through the fire for you, He will do just that. He has never left you, and He has never not loved you. So when the path gets a little bumpier than you’re used to and you’re experiencing doubt, hold onto His promises to get you through. What are some truths you can remember today?

He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strength to the weak. (Isaiah 40:29 TLB)

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8 ESV)

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 TLB)

Prayer:
Lord, there are a lot of unknowns right now, but You are always constant and always the same. I will choose to surrender to You even when things don’t feel very easy.
