He Gave Community

Some people  

knock on the door  

of our lives, 

come right in,  

make themselves  

at home in our hearts, 

and we’re better— 

so much better— 

for having them there. 

That’s the gift God helps us be 

for the people 

he wants to bless through us. 

Father, I am blessed by the people you’ve put in my life.  

Thank you for blessing me with relationships,  

and thank you for using me in the lives of others.

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
one God and Father of all,
who is over all, in all, and living through all.
