From the Inside Out

What do you want? Really. Do you even know sometimes? How often do you stop and listen to your heart voice – the one that’s way deeper (and usually a lot quieter!) than your head voice? Do you really want to hurry to the next thing and the next thing the way you do? Do you really want that junky snack you just inhaled because there’s never enough time? Over-busy lives often lead to mindless choices, because life on autopilot doesn’t require a lot of deep decision making. But Jesus calls again and again back to our hearts. Back to the reasons behind the things we do. Back to the “why” behind the “what.” He knows that the only way to live full and vibrant lives is from the inside out. Stop once in a while and tune in. Your heart may have something important to say.

Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 NASB)
