Fill Your Mind with the Word

Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled. ROMANS 15:4 NLT

In a world full of negativity, it can be easy to lose sight of what is truly important in life. It is crucial that we maintain a positive mindset to overcome the challenges we face on a daily basis. But how can we achieve this when we are bombarded with negativity from every direction?

The answer is simple: turn to the Bible. To acquire a godly mindset, we must first get to know God Himself. And the best way to get to know God is through reading His Word. The Bible is God’s divine gift to us, a tool for both instruction and blessing. When we read God’s Word, our minds are renewed, our hearts are ministered to, and our souls are restored.

The Bible teaches us how to hope through patience and encouragement. It transforms our thoughts and gives us a heaven-focused mentality. It teaches us how to crucify our flesh, to walk in obedience and relationship with our heavenly Father, so that we can persevere and overcome in this world.

However, the Bible will do us no good if we do not read it. We must plug into God to receive His power. We cannot receive from God without His Word. So if we have been struggling to spend time reading our Bible, now is the time to change our situation.

We can present ourselves before the Lord, confess our sins, and ask Him for His forgiveness and His grace. We thank God for the blessing of the Scriptures, for His living and edifying Word, which is truth and unchanging. We ask the Holy Spirit to help us process God’s Word, to give us revelation and understanding, and to enable us to acquire and maintain a godly mindset.

As you spend time with God and His Word, you will see His power radically transform your mindset. You will be able to maintain a positive and productive outlook on life, no matter what challenges come your way. So choose God today—and every day to come—and plug into His power through His Word.

PRAYER
