Enlightened

There are countless theories from “wise” people about how to find the path to enlightenment. Yet, God chose what the world considers foolish in order to humble those who think they are wise. He does this so that no one can brag about their own wisdom, their own skills, or even their own salvation.
While you may assume that you’re blessed if you’re liked by everyone, Jesus taught that you would be rewarded when people mock and lie about you because of your faith. The world tells you that you’re wise if you have a firm grasp on your perfectly controlled and safe life. But Jesus taught that if you give up your life for His sake, then you will save it. Simply put, Jesus taught that we’re wise when we make our decisions in light of eternity. One day we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give an account for every choice we made. Only the choices made in accordance with the eternal wisdom of Christ will be rewarded. These are the heavenly crowns and treasures that will never perish.
As we wisely prepare for eternity, we will make decisions that not only yield a fruitful life, but also yield a fruitful forever.
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” I CORINTHIANS 2:9
DECLARATION
I am enlightened by God. The wisdom of the world will always fall short, so I will trust Him. I am confident that when I live in light of eternity, I am operating in the highest form of wisdom and will be richly rewarded for it.
