A Steadfast Friend

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His faithfulness is everlasting. I CHRONICLES 16:34 NASB 

Do you have a truly loyal and steadfast friend? One who always shows up and always sticks with you? Maybe this friendship has spanned moves or school changes, growing families or even difficult disagreements. This type of friend is hard to come by. Some people spend their whole lives hoping for a friend like this. If that describes you, you don’t have to hope any longer. This is the type of friend we have in Jesus. This friendship is available to us at any point. God’s faithful presence is everlasting. We never have to worry about Him moving on or finding a better option. He’ll stick with us forever. This morning, thank God for His friendship. Thank Him for His faithful presence and tangible love. Thank Him for the ways that He cares for you, supports you, and goes with you. 

God, You are so good! Thank You for Your faithful love and Your constant presence. I never have to walk alone or endure a trial without You by my side or worry about being forgotten or betrayed by You. I can always count on Your wisdom and guidance. I can always enjoy life with You and celebrate every moment with You. Thank You for going with me when life feels difficult and when I feel afraid. Thank You for listening to my biggest worries and my smallest insecurities. There is nothing I can say or do that will push You away. Thank You, God. Amen.
