Hostess Gifts for the Holiday Season

Twinkly lights, the first snow of the season, and red and green everywhere – there are lots of reasons to love Christmastime! The season brings with it so many fun reasons to gather such as holiday parties, bonfires, and Christmas celebrations (just to name a few).

These gatherings are a great opportunity to show your appreciation with a meaningful, inspirational hostess gift. To take the stress and pressure out of finding the perfect gift, we’ve come up with a list of ideas that are sure to bless your hostess.

Remind her to relax.

Spiced Pumpkin, Apple Cinnamon, Chai—it’s spiced tea season!  Fill a mug with tea sachets, tie a ribbon around the handle and voila! You could hand it to her as you are leaving and invite her to spend a little quiet time sipping tea before jumping on all the clean-up.

Leave a little treat behind.

Hosting can be a lot of work.  Why not lighten your hostess’ load by offering to bring dessert? Bake a Christmas-inspired treat (or pick one up at the store) and present it to her on this Serving Platter. Then, right before you leave, place a thank-you card on it. Can you imagine the look on her face when she starts to clean up and realizes you brought more than just dessert? She’ll be able to re-use your Christmas-themed gift, and maybe even pay it forward to someone else!

Say thanks with Christmas decor.

Send her a beautiful Christmas-themed gift basket the morning before the get-together. That way, she will be able to use things, like Christmas napkins, candles, or decorations for the event. Or, if you want to leave a lasting impression of your gratefulness, leave a piece of décor behind such as this Card and Photo Clip Frame to display Christmas cards. Maybe you just know that she would love this We Have Shared the Blessings of God Tea Towel. Check out our entire home decor section to find the perfect piece for your hostess.

The gift of slowing down.

An Advent book makes a great gift this time of year— the days are shorter, the weather is colder, and people are spending more time indoors.  With Christmas upon us, consider giving your hostess a book like Candace Cameron Bure's Bring on the Merry or Sherri Gragg's Advent: The Story of Christmas.  The Christmas season can be very busy—slowing down with a good book that helps her keep her focus on Jesus during this hectic time of year will be a very welcome gift.

We hope this season finds you gathering with family and friends and filled with a grateful heart for God’s many blessings.
