Bible Promises for Women
As women in today’s world, we are constantly inundated with outside voices and opinions telling us what we should do and who we should be. But in reality, the only voice that should ever matter is God’s. These Bible promises are truth straight from God’s Word on how to deal with anxiety and worry and how to live with charity and generosity. He has gone before us, and His promises are true!
We’re Human, So We Worry
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” MATTHEW 6:34 NKJV
Because we are human beings who have the capacity to think and to anticipate future events, we worry. We worry about big things, little things, and just about everything in between. To make matters worse, we live in a world that breeds anxiety and fosters fear. So it’s not surprising that when we come face to face with tough times, we may fall prey to discouragement, doubt, or depression. But our Father in Heaven has other plans.
God has promised that we may lead lives of abundance, not anxiety. In fact, His Word instructs us to “be anxious for nothing.” But how can we put our fears to rest? By taking those fears to Him and leaving them there.
The very same God who created the universe has promised to protect you now and forever. So what do you have to worry about? With God on your side, the answer is nothing.
Worry is like a rocking chair. It keeps you moving but doesn’t get you anywhere. -Corrie Ten Boom

We Have Been Called to Give
“Freely you have received; freely give.” MATTHEW 10:8 NIV
The theme of generosity is woven into the fabric of God’s Word. Our Creator instructs us to give generously—and cheerfully—to those in need. And He promises that when we do give of our time, our talents, and our resources, we will be blessed.
Jesus was the perfect example of generosity. He gave us everything, even His earthly life, so that we, His followers, might receive abundance, peace, and eternal life. He was always generous, always kind, always willing to help “the least of these.” And, if we are to follow in His footsteps, we too must be generous.
Sometime today you’ll encounter someone who needs a helping hand or a word of encouragement. When you encounter a person in need, think of yourself as Christ’s ambassador. And remember that whatever you do for the least of these, you also do for Him.
No matter how little you have, you can always give some of it away. - Catherine Marshall
