» Coffee card. Get your group leader a $10 gift card to their favorite coffee shop. Send a note simply stating that you hope he/she will spend at least twenty minutes there, taking a break in their day and pondering on how much Jesus loves them.
» Text, email or social media. Send your group leader a personal text or email on a regular basis throughout the month of October, to let them know you are praying for them. Also, be sure to check out our new Ministry Appreciation Ecards to say “thanks” for their hours of service.
» Send a heartfelt card with a special note of appreciation. Send a card with a personal, handwritten note. Bring up some specific times you appreciated their leadership and let them know how they’ve shaped your spiritual life.
» Encourage your small group members to bring gifts. Why not shower your small group leader with small gifts throughout the month of October?
» One-on-one time. Personal, one-on-one time with them and prayer for them is always appreciated. Invite them out to lunch or set up a time before work when you can meet.
» Show up early. If your group has a meal or snacks, offer to show up early to help set up and prepare snacks. Take this time to let your leader (and his/her family) know how much you appreciate them.
» Plan a surprise party. Coordinate your group in planning a surprise “thank you” party for your group leader.
