As you wind down from the day, as you step away from the chaos and busy pace of life, step into God's loving embrace. You belong to Him; you are His child, and He cares for you. He isn't far off-He is with you now. The King of glory is with you to lift your burdens and listen to your cries. He sees what's on your heart and knows every detail of the circumstances around you.  

Draw close and place your trust in Him. Seek to hear His voice as you read and meditate on His Word. Today's psalm explains that everything and everyone is the Lord's-that means you. Rest assured that God is holding you in His hands tonight. 

The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it,  
the world, and all who lives in it; 
for He founded it on the seas 
and established it on the waters. 
Who may ascend in the mountains of the LORD? 
Who may stand in His holy place? 
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,  
who does not trust in an idol 
or swear by a false god. 
They will receive blessing from the LORD 
and vindication from God their Savior. 
Such is the generation of those who seek Him,  
who seek Your face, God of Jacob. 
Life up your heads, you gates; 
be lifted up, you ancient doors, 
that the King of glory may com in. 
Who is this King of glory? 
The LORD strong and mighty,  
the LORD mighty in battle. 
Lift up your heads, you gates; 
lift them up, you ancient doors,  
that the King of glory may come in. 
Who is He, this King of glory? 
The LORD Almighty -  
He is the King of glory.  
PSALM 24 

ADORATION: When the world doesn't make sense, the Bible tells us to take comfort in knowing the world is the Lord's and everything in it is His. Tonight, be reminded of the glory of the Creator. Worship Him for His lordship over your life and the protective covering He gives. No one and nothing can rule over you except Him-He is the Almighty God.  

CONFESSION: Think of a time when you worshiped something or someone other than God. Confess any of these idols you are still holding on to and ask for His forgiveness. Ask God to help you put Him above all else in your life.  

THANKSGIVING: Rejoice in God's sovereignty, that He is powerful and has authority. Rejoice in the wonderful work of His hands. Thank Him for what He has given you. Thank Him for the creation He made to provide for you.  

SUPPLICATION: Father, all I have is from You. You provide the very breath in my lungs. All good things in my life come from You. You are the King of glory, and I love You. Help me not to take the beauty of Your creation for granted; show me how to be a good steward of the blessings You pour over me. Keep me through this night and fill me with the kind of peace that only comes from You. I give You all the glory due Your name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
