Sometimes relationships can be sticky. Have you ever been in a relationship where it was good, but deep down in your heart, you knew there were “red flags” that you had decided to ignore? Red flags can be in romantic relationships, friendships, and even family relationships. When they come up, it can be hard to face them or even to trust God when you can feel He is leading you to make a tough decision. Relationships can cause a lot of confusion if we don’t give our thoughts and desires over to God. God can help you have healthy relationships if you believe and trust that He is always present in times of trouble. Let’s be honest, many times we need the most help when those red flags show up in significant ways. Today is an opportunity to look up to God and ask Him for help with any relationships that have caused you trouble, confusion, frustration, or pain. He cares about your heart and relationships, and He is willing to perfect those things that concern you.

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. PSALM 121:1-2 NIV

God, I lift all my relationships to You. My heart desires to stop ignoring red flags and accept Your help with making the best decisions for my life right now and in the future. Would You please give me the wisdom and courage to develop healthy relationships with the people You desire me to have in my life, and the strength to walk away from anyone who is not for my highest good?
