Waiting for Your Win

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. HEBREWS 10:23 NLT

It’s easy to be jealous of someone in their winning season. Watching the highlight reel that’s social media. Watching people live the life that YOU are praying for. I remember the season of feeling left out, like I had missed the memo, or the ark left and somehow I forgot to board. I watched friends get married, fall in love, and start their families while I was starting over at square one. I know what it’s like to feel skipped over, to get lapped by people who are way younger than you—to feel like you’re too old, or you’ve messed up too much to make a comeback.

But in our waiting, God is working. If you could see what God is up to in your life, the plans He has laid out especially for you, you wouldn’t want to trade your life for anyone else’s. Don’t be jealous of someone in their winning season—because you have no idea what they may have lost in their losing season. You’ll get your time, and you’ll get your turn. God is faithful even when our hopes are frail. He keeps His promises.
