Victory Party

There’s a victory party scheduled—  

a celebration we’ve been invited to  

that will surpass our wildest dreams.  

We’ll arrive there right on time,  

when the Father calls us  

to come and join our loved ones  

and the rest of his faithful  

who’ve gone before  

and have been kept in his care.  

And then we’ll join in the “Hallelujahs”−  

the sorrow-shattering “Hallelujahs”  

sung by a choir like no other,  

expressing a joy that’s inconceivable  

to those who’ve only known this dusty earth.  

That’s when the time for eternal rejoicing comes.
