Twice the Lord's

A young boy made a beautiful toy sailboat and took it to a lake to sail, but a gust of wind blew the boat out into the lake. The boat was lost.

Several weeks later, the boy saw his sailboat in the window of a toy store. When he asked for his boat, the store owner said, “I own the boat now. If you want it, you will have to buy it back.”

The boy sold all he had to buy back his boat. After paying the store owner, the boy took his boat to his heart and said, “Little boat, you are twice mine now. I made you and I bought you.”

And because of our redemption, we are twice the Lord’s—He made us and he bought us back with his blood.

Today’s Reading: Titus 2:14 NLT

He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
