The Wonderful Adventure

God knew we’d need reassurance  

that we’re something more than  

the product of time and chance 

on a lonely planet spinning through space.  

So he sent us his miraculous Word  

to unlock mystery after mystery  

about his awesome plan for creation.  

We were made for glory! 

The stars may be bright,  

but we were made to reflect  

the even brighter glory 

of the Star-Maker himself! 

The imprint of the eternal God—  

though dimmed by sin—is upon us. 

The adventure takes off  

when we’re set free in Christ  

to live out our intended destiny  

of world-changing love and goodness,  

extinguishing the darkness  

with his glorious overcoming light.

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation...
