The Way in Which We Should Go

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105 KJV
An estimated two to three million visitors hike portions of America’s 2,181-mile Appalachian Trail each year. Hailed as the longest continuously marked footpath in the world, the Appalachian Trail is well-marked and well-maintained, but it is still easy to get lost on it. A stop for a bathroom break or to rest is all it takes for a tired soul to get turned around and lose their way.
With God as our Guide, we will always succeed in reaching our destination. The only way to completely fail is to ignore our Guide, the Holy Spirit, and the trail markers of God’s Word. Choosing our own path is the way of destruction. Some people get lost and in trouble when they start out on the right path but decide to take a detour or two. God in His tender mercy never abandons those who are lost and want to find their way back. He is never far away from those with repentant hearts.
FAITH CHECK
Those who follow God stay close behind Him and set their feet in His very footprints. He illuminates the path before us and encourages us to stay on it.
