The Privilege of Knowing God: Legacy

The godly are showered with blessings .

. . . We have happy memories of the godly.

Proverbs 10:6-7 NLT

Reflect on this statement, inspired by today’s Scripture, and let it guide you into prayer:

I pray that through the testimony of their lives, my children will encourage others to know You better and love You more. May there be many who will say of them, "I thank God for you."

Prayer

Father, thank You for blessing the lives of my children so they can be a blessing to others. Truly, Father, Your blessings upon them are more precious than the royal crowns worn on the heads of the kings and queens of this world. I pray that by Your grace and power, You will work within them all they will need to bring encouragement and enrichment to every life they touch.

Speak to them the soothing words that will heal hurting hearts, the wise words that will guide seeking hearts, the assuring words that will comfort grieving hearts, the accepting words that will embrace lonely hearts, the affirming words that will strengthen fearful hearts, and the life-giving words that will fill empty hearts.

I pray that through the testimony of their lives, my children will encourage others to know You better and love You more. May there be many who will say of them, "I thank God for you."

Father, thank You for blessing the lives of my children
