The Need for Hope

Packed inside a little word like “hope”

are some very big things—like anticipation,

expectation, and confidence.

We were created with a need for hope

by the one who always intended to be our hope.

Hope is the anticipation of his presence with us,

the expectation of his timely help,

and the unshakeable confidence that in the end

he will bring us through any trial into a place of victory.

In light of this truth,

Is your hope in him rock solid enough

for anything this world might throw at you?

If it is, you will shine brightly for him.

Today’s Reading: Romans 15:13 NLT

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
