The Messy and The Mundane

Dreaming big for the Lord means one wild adventure. It means you never know what’s coming next because He’s full of surprises. Dreaming big for the Lord means you live ready to live out God’s plan and purpose for your life. But that doesn’t mean that it’s all going to be exciting. It’s not all going to be sunshine and rainbows and sparkles falling from clouds in the sky. No, some days are going to be really messy and some days are going to be really mundane. Some days you’re going to be living your best life and other days you’re going to be folding laundry and doing dishes. But remember this: Sometimes God grows us the most in the messy and mundane. Sometimes those days are the days He uses the small things to teach us big lessons. The best thing we can do is to learn how to find joy in every single season we’re in. The exciting, crazy, wild days and the messy ones when we’re just trying to survive. There is purpose in all of our days, so let’s find joy in them.

The LORD is close to all who call on Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth. (Psalm 145:18 NLT)

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? (Psalm 8:3-4 ESV)

And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. (Isaiah 58:11 TLB)

Prayer:
Lord, find me in the messy and the mundane. Teach me how to find joy in every season.
