The Hope of Salvation

We should stay sober and in control, covered with a breastplate of faith and love and a helmet of the hope of salvation. (I Thessalonians 5:8 THE VOICE)

Father, if there’s one way the enemy tries to rob me of hope, it’s through my mind. He works his way in and whispers words of discouragement and defeat and fills me with discouragement. But, thanks be to Your Spirit within me, I don’t have to listen. Help me to take captive my thoughts to the truths in Your Word – truths of love and forgiveness, power, and eternal life with You. Guard my head and my heart, keeping life and hope alive and untouchable. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
