The God Who Sees

Hagar was a woman who’d been used and abused, despised, abandoned, and rejected. She didn’t always respond to those wounds in the wisest or healthiest of ways. But God met her right where she was—in the midst of her hurt, anger, and despair. And He loved her. He loved this rebellious runaway slave girl. She may have felt invisible, but God told her that He knew her—He knew what she’d been through. He’d seen it all. He felt her pain. He understood. And He would help her. He would provide for her and protect her. He would lead her and guide her and give her a hope and a future.

This same God sees you, knows you, and loves you. He’s waiting to meet you where you are today.

I will give thanks and praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart; and will glorify Your name forevermore. Psalm 86:12 AMP

He has looked [with loving care] on the humble state of His maidservant; for behold, from now on all generations will count me blessed and happy and favored by God! Luke 1:48 AMP

The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us. Psalm 115:12 NASB

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me.” Genesis 16:13 NIV

O Lord, how I love You! I praise Your holy Name. How good it is to know that You are the God Who Sees Meand I am the one known and loved by You.
