The Comfort of Protection: Care

You have taught children and infants
to tell of your strength,

silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.
When I look at the night sky
and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place—
what are mere mortals
that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?
Psalm 8:2-4 NLT

Reflect on this statement, inspired by today’s Scripture, and let it guide you into prayer:

I am amazed by Your greatness and how much You care about the lives of each of your children. You see, know, understand, and care about every detail of their lives. It is in You that they live, move, and have their being.

Prayer

Lord God of the universe, Designer and Maker of all that is in the heavens and upon the earth, I thank You that You are mighty and You alone do marvelous things. I thank You that You made each of us with Your own hands, You shaped us, You breathed into us the breath of life, and You look out for each one of us. Reveal to us Your mighty strength, Your awesome power, and Your infinite wisdom.

I am amazed by Your greatness and how much You care about the lives of each of your children. You see, know, understand, and care about every detail of our lives. It is in You that we live, move, and have our being.

I'm so thankful that we are on Your mind and in Your thoughts today. I pray that our hearts would trust in You and turn toward You, while our feet follow You all the days of our lives.

What is man that You are mindful of him? Psalm 8:4 NKJV
