Refuge From the Storm
Storms can be awe-inspiring—that’s if
you’re in a safe place from which to view them.
Thankfully, we have a very safe place to run to
when life starts crashing around us.
Almighty God, you are our peace
and a refuge from the storm.
You rule over our surging seas;
when the waves mount up, you still them.
Nothing is too difficult for you.
In you we are more than conquerors.
We will not be afraid,
for you are our salvation.
You are right here with us,
renewing our strength as we hope in you.
No one can take us from your hand.
Nothing can ever separate us from your love.
Amen.
Prayer taken from:

When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.
