Psalm 33

Not only did God create the universe and all that is in it, He watches over His creation the way a loving parent watches over his or her child. His Word says, "He gazes on all the inhabitants of the earth" (Psalm 33:13 CSB), which means His eyes are on you now. His ear is attentive to your prayers. His heart is full of love for you.  

As you lie down to sleep, try to calm your mind. Bask in His presence and allow His truth to ease your mind and soothe your soul. Think on how much He cares for you-His creation. Know that His faithful love rests on you tonight as you put your trust in Him. 

Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones; 
praise from the upright is beautiful... 
Sing a new song to Him; 
play skillfully on the strings, with a joyful shout. 
For the word of the LORD is right,  
and all His work is trustworthy. 
He loves righteousness and justice; 
the earth is full of the LORD’s unfailing love. 
The heavens were made by the word of the LORD,  
and all the stars, by the breath of His mouth... 
Happy is the nation whose God is the LORD -  
the people He has chosen to be His own possession! 
The LORD looks down from heaven; 
He observes everyone. 
He gazes on all the inhabitants of the earth 
from His dwelling place. 
He forms the hearts of them all; 
He considers all their works... 
The LORD keeps His eye on those who fear Him -  
those who depend on His faithful love  
to rescue them from death 
and to keep them alive in famine. 
We wait for the LORD; 
He is our help and shield. 
For our hearts rejoice in Him  
because we trust in His holy name. 
May your faithful love rest on us, LORD,  
for we put our hope in You.

ADORATION: The same God who spoke the world into existence is the God who speaks truth and love into your life. Take time to delight in this amazing fact and let love for Him flow from your heart.  

CONFESSION: Confess any times you have taken God's good gifts in your life for granted. Ask for His forgiveness and His help to remember His blessings, the majesty of the heavens, and the miracle of your life.  

THANKSGIVING: Rejoice in His power and majesty that is on display in creation and in your life. Thank Him for His Word and for revealing His truth to you. Thank Him for the times He has helped you and delivered you through your troubles.  

SUPPLICATION: Father, thank You for the beauty of Your creation, which I so enjoy. Thank You for reassuring me that You see me, You know about the details of my life, and Your hand is on each one. Thank You for all the ways You've shown Your faithful love to me and the comfort that brings. You are so good to me. Let me always be mindful of that. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
