Mighty Warrior

The battle is fierce, but you are not hopeless, helpless, or defenseless. God has equipped you with everything you need to fight and win! He has given you spiritual “armor” to protect you. And faith, hope, courage, strength, grace, truth, love—these are just a few of the powerful weapons with which God has equipped you—not to mention peace, patience, endurance, and so many others. With these weapons, you can overcome fear and doubt; you can defeat discouragement and despair. You can persevere in righteousness (right living) and making wise choices. You can not only survive but thrive in the most difficult challenges of your life. God has made you a mighty warrior, and He is for you! 

We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 NLT 

Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]. Ephesians 6:13 AMP 

Be ready! Let the truth be like a belt around your waist, and let God’s justice protect you like armor. Your desire to tell the good news about peace should be like shoes on your feet. Let your faith be like a shield, and you will be able to stop all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Let God’s saving power be like a helmet, and for a sword use God’s message that comes from the Spirit. Ephesians 6:14–17 CEV 

God is strong, and He wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. Ephesians 6:10–11 THE MESSAGE 

God, give me wisdom and courage and strength as I face my battles today. Protect me and defend me and lead me to victory in Jesus ’s name.
