Jesus Take the Wheel

In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. PSALM 18:6 ESV 

Okay, so I am not a good driver. I failed my driver’s education test on the first try because I forgot to turn on my headlights with the windshield wipers going. It was ON my sixteenth birthday too, so when I waltzed into school late and my friend asked to see my driver’s license, this girl was empty-handed. I’ve had two bad accidents, both of which were my fault, and by the grace of God, I was alone and the only car involved. So, what I’m telling you is that I would much rather be in the passenger seat. I’ll control the playlist and the AC, but I’m not your best bet behind the wheel. 

I love traveling through life with God because I’m positive He’s an excellent driver. He can lead me, guide me, and show me the way. He can help me find my way back every time I get lost, and He can protect me when I inevitably fall short. There’s a lot of freedom in surrender and a lot of relief that I’m not always in control. Is there an area of your life that you need God to take control of? Why not pull over and just let Him drive? I bet you’ll like where He takes you!
