Hidden Beauty

Sometimes we feel invisible—unseen. Sometimes we feel unknown, unappreciated, or unloved. Sometimes we wish that we could wish away the things that make us feel different or less than or not enough. But God says He sees us. He knows us. He loves us. He made us all the wonderful things we are, in all our glorious uniqueness. We are so precious to Him. We are more than enough. And He has big plans for us. If only we are willing to believe, willing to receive His love! Willing to let go of our insecurities and give up our complaints and comparisons. Let His love be the mirrored pool that reveals what He sees in us: that we are beautiful swans, not ugly ducklings.

Oh yes, You shaped me first inside, then out; You formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank You, High God—You’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, You know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Psalm 139:13–15 THE MESSAGE

Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before You, the days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. Psalm 139:16 THE MESSAGE

My soul, bless the Lord, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Psalm 103:1 CSB

You have looked deep into my heart, Lord, and You know all about me. Psalm 139:1 CEV

Lord, thank You for the life You have given me. Help me to be a true reflection of Your love, Your beauty, Your creativity, Your glory.
