Have Mercy

Let’s face it: we’ve all messed up, made mistakes, or been thoughtless or careless or clueless. Sometimes we’ve even been deliberately reckless, rebellious, stubborn, or foolish. And God—in His great love for us—has shown us mercy. He has responded to us not with anger or frustration or irritation, but with compassion, gentleness, and patience. No, He has not treated us as our sins deserve; instead, He has completely forgiven us. Though we were the ones in the wrong, He has taken the initiative to reach out and make things right between us. We have been blessed, and we’ll continue to be blessed as we show this same mercy to others. The more mercy we have, the more we’ll be given. The more we’ll be forgiven. The more we’ll experience His unending mercy and amazing grace.

Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him [drop the issue, let it go], so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions and wrongdoings [against Him and others]. Mark 11:25 AMP

Yes, you must show mercy to others, or God will not show mercy to you. James 2:13 ICB

Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12 NLT

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5:7 NIV

God, thank You for all the grace and mercy You’ve shown me. Help me to show that same mercy to others. Let me pass on this gift and blessing
