Give Yourself Grace

Do you feel guilty for putting things off sometimes? “Maybe next year.” It’s tough when messages like “Seize the moment!” and “We aren’t promised tomorrow!” are everywhere. Whether it’s party planning, holiday decorating, or school volunteering, there’s this pressure to do everything now and make it amazing. Because maybe someone else always does or maybe you rocked it last year. But this time around? You just can’t do One. More. Thing. And guess what? That’s more than okay! The most important part of any gathering is God’s presence, and you always have that! Sure, it’s a blast to do it up big sometimes, but give yourself grace for those not-so-grandiose moments. You’re a busy gal! Make Jesus a welcome guest, no matter what you’re planning, and it’s sure to be decorated with all you need – the beauty of His love.

Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20 HCSB)

And as they were saying these things, He Himself stood among them. He said to them, “Peace to you!” (Luke 24:36 HCSB)

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17 HCSB)

My mind and my body may grow weak, but God is my strength; He is all I ever need. (Psalm 73:26 GNT)

Jesus, no matter what I plan, You’re the most important part. Please remind me of that when I feel overwhelmed. All I need is Your presence.
