Courage Instead of Fear

Speaking in front of people, getting laid off from a job, staring at an empty bank account – fear can overtake your mind through all kinds of triggers. But Timothy clearly states that fear is not of God – it’s the enemy’s way of keeping you in a state of defeat! Thankfully, God gives power to overcome your fears. He instills power and courage into your spirit that will disable and conquer whatever ties your stomach in knots. There are no limitations. So the next time you feel afraid, claim that power and keep moving forward.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous hand. (Isaiah 41:10 HCSB)

In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not fear. What can man do to me? (Psalm 56:4 HCSB)

Immediately Jesus spoke to [the disciples]. “Have courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” (Matthew 14:27 HCSB)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (II Timothy 1:7 NLT)

Lord, thank You for Your help, Your power, Your strength to overcome all of the things that cause me to fear. I am ready to live in peace and calm, no matter what I am facing.
