Christ's Resurrection and You

You’ve probably read or been told that you are not defined by your past mistakes. And it’s true, you aren’t. Your failures or heartaches may shape who you are, but they do not define you. The question now is, what are you defined by? The most important thing that separates you as a Christian from other faiths is the resurrection of Jesus. It is the pivotal factor that has created arguments and dissension among people for centuries. Jesus’s defining moment of the resurrection is what defines you too. He rose from the dead, and you did too when you accepted Him into your heart. So live forward in freedom.

Having been buried with Him in baptism, you were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. (Colossians 2:12 CSB)

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. (I Peter 1:3 ESV)

And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in grave clothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!” (John 11:44 NLT)

For if we have been joined with Him in the likeness of His death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of His resurrection. (Romans 6:5 HCSB)

Father, thank You for the resurrection and the life that is in me because of Jesus. I love You for blessing me with such a great gift – the promise of new life today and spending eternity with You in all my tomorrows. Amen.
