A Prayer of Blessing: Strength

I love You, LORD;
You are my strength.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety.
Psalm 18:1-2 NLT

Reflect on this statement, inspired by today’s Scripture, and let it guide you into prayer:

May my children look to You, trust in You, and lean upon Your resources every moment of every day. When facing temptation, make them strong to resist. Give them the strength to say no to everything that would draw them away from You and yes to everything that will draw them closer to Your heart.

Prayer

Almighty God, You are the Mighty Warrior. You are our strength. You have all power! You are the Omnipotent One, the God of Majesty, the God of Truth, the God of Every Victory. I'm thankful that Your promises can be completely trusted. Your throne is in the heavens, and Your rule and reign is over all.

May my children look to You, trust in You, and lean upon Your resources every moment of every day. When facing temptation, make them strong to resist. Give them the strength to say no to everything that would draw them away from You and yes to everything that will draw them closer to Your heart.

When they are facing lies, protect their minds with the shield of Your powerful truth. When they are facing deception, keep their feet on Your pathway of righteousness and peace. When they are facing false accusations, draw close to them with Your all-encompassing, all-embracing love.

You are my strength. Psalm 18:1 NLT
