A King's Rescue

Once upon a time, we were held captive by our doubts, our fears, our anger and frustrations, our insecurities, and our obsessions. We were enslaved by sin, selfishness, and self-absorption. Our many attempts to free ourselves and escape only ended in failure and defeat. Feeling hopeless, we gave up—and gave in to despair.

But suddenly the King appeared. He came to rescue us and set us free. He threw open the doors of our dark dungeon and let in the Light. He paid the penalty for our sin and declared us “not guilty.” He invited us to rule and reign with Him in His eternal kingdom.

And now we are free. Free to live, free to love, free to serve Him willingly and faithfully and, yes, happily ever after.

Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Psalm 24:9 AMP

Those who have been rescued will go up to Mount Zion... and the Lord Himself will be King. Obadiah 1:21 NLT

I broke the yoke of slavery from your neck so you can walk with your heads held high. Leviticus 26:13 NLT

Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. Galatians 5:1 THE MESSAGE

Jesus, You are my hero! A mighty Savior, the King of kings! Thank You for rescuing me. Help me to live a life brave and free and fulfill Your plans and purposes for me
