You're right. "Busy" can rob us of really doing what the Lord would have -- the "better" job of sitting at the feet of Jesus like Mary, the sister of Martha did. Do this, and believe me, you'll have all the time you need to accomplish just what God would have for you each day.

Spending the morning with my six month old grandaughter...watching her sleep after feedings, diaper changes and giggles! I realize that Busy robbed this mother of way too many blessings with my own daughters and God gives Grandmas' another chance to put Busy out!! Nothing better I'd rather be doing;)

Your blogs are always so encouraging, but especially this one as busyness has hounded me most of my life! You are right--she is NOT a friend but a deceptive lie. Thanks for reminding me of that.

Thank you for your devotion. My mom passed away in Sept and I have found that I have welcomed busy with open arms in an attempt to run from the pain. All this has accomplished is making me a frustrated, very sad person. So today, with nothing on my calendar, I will escort Busy to the door and trust the Lord to heal my pain.
