Faith, Hope, and Love - Wooden Plaques - Set of 3

Below are the inspiring thoughts behind the development of this product, shared by one mom who helped in establishing the "Show Offs Art" company. These inspiring thoughts are also printed on note pinned to canvas.

 

Faith

Confidence and security.  Oh, how I want my kids to be confident and secure in everything they do and in every relationship they have. There are lots of things I can do to nurture that - I can encourage them every day, trying to instill that "can do" attitude and I can provide a secure, stable home to live in.  However, I think my biggest responsibility in this area is to help them develop a strong faith.  Life-long confidence and security come from knowing we have God's loving arms around us and we can depend on every promise He has made.

Hope

In our world today, hope is a verb, an action, defined as "a desire or wish" - something we "hope" will happen.  The hope that we have in God is a noun; it's a possession and is used as a noun in the Bible many times.  "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jer 29:11) and "My hope comes from Him" (Ps 62:5).  It's nothing we have to wish will come true, we just have to accept the gift.  Hope is the truth that we have an eternity in heaven with God at the end of this life.  Being filled with God's hope shows all those around you that you know how this story ends - and you're excited about it!

Love

Life boils down to love.  Lots of things bring excitement and happiness, but nothing brings joy, deep down joy, like love.  We have received that love from God and we need to extend that kind of love to everyone.  I would be delighted if I, and my family, showed this kind of love all the time.  God gives us a lot of instruction about the meaning of love and how to love.  In 1 Corinthians 16:14, God's Word tells us to do everything in love.  This canvas is a wonderful reminder to love completely - in everything I do.
