Little errors
I've started reading this book and actually I am leading a study on it. I was encouraged by the introduction. I decided to follow up on the "Time" magazine article he wrote about as part of our first study, but couldn't find it. Turns out, the article was in Newsweek. Also, he gets the name of the article wrong. The title he mentions is the cover advertising. The name of the article is Men's Lib. Does the editor not follow up on these things? Also, Catt mentions that it was courage that Moses decided to stand up for his people. It wasn't! Initially it was pride and then he ran away in fear for killing the Egyptian guard. God had to drag Moses kicking and screeming to this. Moses wanted God to use his brother Aaron. Although I agree with Catt's premise for the book, I will now have to read the rest of the book with a grain of salt. Once again, didn't the editors catch this or did they just assume that since he's a Pastor and movie producer that he just knew his stuff? Our church is going through a transformation where men are realizing that they need to be the spritual leaders of their homes. If this book does that, then I'll rerate this book. I have kept my opinions to myself and have not shared them with others in the study to be fair. We'll see how well this book does.
