We used this as the first gift of Christmas on the night the tree was set up. The kids loved seeing a wrapped gift to be opened under the tree. I expected it to be a little bigger, but it serves the purpose we wanted! I like the old fashion look and the fact that we can erase the chalk and use it again next year! It's a great piece for the price!
I understand the reviews that this is small compared with what I imagined. However, it's often hard to tell size by a picture and it does give the measurements so it's not misleading. Just read them first, get out a ruler and see what the size will look like. I agree like one review said that it would be better if it was bigger because it's a really beautiful piece. We have ours hanging in the kitchen and each day we write a different name for Jesus (Savior, Redeemer, Lord, etc) in the box instead of crossing it out. It's a little challenging to write because the boxes are small but it's a great Advent thing for my kids! Despite the size, I would recommend it.
BEAUTIFULLY AGED, GAVE IT AS A GIFT ALMOST DIED-THE NUMBERS ARE UPSIDE DOWN!
I read a bad review about this product, but please let me point out, what you get is exactly what you see on picture (the color in the picture is brown, not red) with the exact same measurements mentioned in the product description. It has a beautiful "aged" quality to it! I wish they would make a bigger size option, 'cause it's gorgeous and makes for a great statement piece. Mine arrived pretty quickly and I can't wait to put it up on my wall!
I was a little disappointed when I received this, its very small and what looks like dark red paint in the picture is really brown. Plus the paint is chipped off in some places & the chalkboard itself is slightly higher on the one side. I got it for free (minus shipping) so I will keep it but wouldn't pay $20 for it.
