Delight means "to experience great happiness or pleasure." God wants us find great pleasure in our relationship with Him. The second half of this verse is where it gets a little distorted. We want to think that if we follow God, we'll get whatever we want. The truth is, that as we truly follow God and delight in Him, His desires become our desires - our happiness lines up with His plan for our lives. When the desires of our heart change from material things to things of the heart, we experience real joy - real delight!
