A sliver in your finger has to come out
in order for your finger to heal.
The longer you leave it in, the more
it will hurt and fester.

Sins are like slivers. They will keep
hurting you until you get rid of them.
Confessing your sins is like taking
out the sliver. It may hurt for a while,
but it leads to healing. Confess, pray,
heal. It's a good prescription for
souls and slivers.

Everyone who lives and believes

It was a sad day for Mary and Martha.
Grieving the loss of their brother,
Lazarus, they could not be consoled.
Their frustration and anxiousness
poured out of them at the sight
of Jesus. Where was He when they
needed Him? Not shaken by their reaction,
He comforted them with words of hope
and insight into what the future held.
Believing in Jesus Christ will bring
life-not death.
